“Resident Evil: Retribution’s” Teaser SELL-OUT
Here’s a new trailer for “RE: Retribution,” but first you’ll have to watch Sony gloat. Here’s the thing: movie trailers and TV spots mix about as well as humans and zombies. They kill each other. Sony and “RE” are both cheapened as a result of this trailer-commercial mash-up. If you can make it past all the Sony crap, what follows is a meager jumble of quick-cut action set pieces over the score for “Tron.” Some of them look pretty sweet, but none of them stick with you, other than maybe Bingbing Li’s panties. In the end all I could remember was the Sony ad, followed by Mila’s disgusting line, as if she’s apart of the commercial: “I’m Alice, and this is my world.”

Well, i dont consider this a sellout since Sony was the original developer and distributor of the Resident Evil video game and movie series. This trailer deserves a higher score than a 1.3. Check yo facts.
Seriously? This teaser is genius! An ad for sony that turns from a happy tech ad to a dark action film ad. A+++++ for originality!
Lame-o
This is a great ad for both the film and the Sony products…
I can appreciate the idea, but the execution is very cheesy and blah. The action at the end could have really saved it, but the score doesn’t do the piece any favors and the CGI (yes I realize it is early) looks pretty bad. But hey, gotta give points for effort, but it has to be cut better than this.
Point taken. But a 1.3?? Come on…
I agree. This site gives quite arbitrary ratings on this idiotic scale that has 10 points with 10th of a point increments so that meaning it’s a 100 point scale. What does this even mean? They have categories that include originality and give this a 1.0 while if anything, like it or not, it is somewhat original. And there is no category for concept, script or copy in a trailer review? Then there are posters like 21 Jump Street that are given a zero? Really?
I have also noticed people posting on other sites talking about how TFI tore this trailer a new one and going on to say how spot on TFI reviews are. I assume this is someone from TFI trying to drum up business for their site. Talk about lame.
