More of the same from “Red Tails,” and that’s just fine with us
The “Red Tails” trailers have been as slick as the fighter pilots in them. This newest one contains nothing we haven’t seen before, other than some beef between Terrence Howard and a sneering Bryan Cranston (“Breaking Bad”), but it’s so exciting that we don’t care.
Like the other trailers (I couldn’t help but go back and re-watch them; it’s worth it) this one does well to sell both the film’s “Star Wars”-esque dog-fighting action along with its harrowing true story premise. “Let’s give those newspapers something to write about,” says one of the pilots as he strafes a military train. “Red Tails,” which dives into theaters next January 20, is giving us a whole lot to write about.
