Gotta love this new poster for upcoming dramedy, “Young Adult.” First off, practically unheard of in Hollywood, it sells the flick using screenwriter Diablo Cody, who won the Best Original Screenplay Oscar for 2007’s “Juno.”Furthermore, the image of Charlize Theron, prostrate on the top-bunk holding a two-liter bottle of Diet Coke like it’s a pint of grandpa’s old cough medicine, not only reveals lots regarding this character and her desperate situation. It also lands “Young Adults” pointedly into the zeitgeist. This generation is overrun by an unignorable group of adolescent-adults, many of whom boomerang back to the home where they grew up soon after college.
Finally, the whole thing is wrapped up in a neat “book” concept that stands out from the fray and fits with “Young Adult’s” hilarious premise, which follows fiction writer Mavis Gary (Theron). Mavis returns to live at home with her parents in a small Minnesota town and tries to reignite a romance with her ex-boyfriend, who’s now married with kids.

Not bad.
Cool Book cover.
Whats going on today. Everything is cool. Not as lame as it has been this past year. What is going on…
No Pulp Fiction.
