I absolutely loved “The Rum Diary’s” teaser-sheet, not only for its creative graphic, which spelled out the title logo in an array of miniature liquor bottles (just watch the trailer, you’ll get it). But also for the fact that Film District had the balls to release a poster without exploiting the worldwide stardom of Johny Depp. Now, with the teaser sheet under their belt, it’s only wise to release another that does feature Depp. For that purpose, this is pretty damn good. His expression is priceless, and I love the caption – perfect for a hedonist like Hunter S. Thompson. The cheap looking title logo could use some retooling though.
