    The original movie was instense.
    I am NOT into this either..for many reasons. The main one being –
    ASkars and his gf Bos …too over-exposed. I cannot watch now –without thinking of the pix of them covering their faces, etc and being annoyed by cameras.
    He’s loss cred to me. Msytic. Actors should be low key and try as much as possible to keep that personal life—personal.

    Odd trailer. Skars looks mean and threatening in the face but when he speaks, the anger/hatred isn’t there in his voice. Also the ‘This was his end,’ This was his beginning’ stuff is kind of weird. I like Skars a lot, am indifferent to Bos, but HATE Bosgard and all the crap that has gone with that. I won’t see this in the theater, maybe rent through Netflix.

    When I heard that Straw Dogs is being remade, I wanted to hear that it would be handled by a director as unflinching and uncompromising as Sam Peckinpah, helmsman of the original (Chan Wook Park would have been ideal, for example). That it is Rod Lurie in charge, sometime film critic now best known for (occasionally polemical) political dramas like The Contender or TV’s Commander In Chief, leaves me both weary and a little curious. Whatever else he may or may not be, Lurie certainly isn’t a guy to pursue an easy gig with a simple knock-off cash in. This movie will suck on every level! F beyond an F! The world is ending! Have sex with your dog! It’s over.
