It’s 11:30pm. I’m tired and cranky. Thinking about a 3 hour movie was the last thing on my mind. But for some reason, my fingers were drawn to find the website. “Benjaminbutton.com”…a good guess. As the page loaded, I immediately grew crankier as I began to think another site just couldn’t get it right. After my eyes found the Enter button, I was about ready to close up shop and revisit the expected tragedy I thought I was about to encounter tomorrow morning. My mouse though somehow clicked the enter button. The page changed and as I glanced back at the screen, I paused. My heart began to race, my adrenaline started pumping, and I was beginning to feel extreme happiness.
I had seen Benjamin Button when it first came out, and sitting through the 3 hours was quite enjoyable. The movie has always rated high for me because of its uniqueness and story. The feelings and emotions I felt for the movie immediately returned, and I had not even completed the loading screen. Completely entranced with everything I saw, the site finished loading. You are then taken on a picture journey through the timeline of the movie. At first you won’t understand, but give it 10 seconds, and you’ll begin to understand the experience they are putting you through.
Excellent concept. Unique and artistic. There’s more than what meets the eye. Oh, and did I mention I spent the next 3 hours watching the movie? Yeah, the site is that powerful.
*Note. A Perfect Ten contender, except the site contains little information on the movie and takes you off the page a couple times.
